The purpose of this position is to - manage insurance & claims, departmental BCP and risk management review & update.

As part of the job, one needs to work closely with all the departments and stakeholders making sure that all of ADT’s insurances are properly managed, incidents/accidents leading to insurance claims are identified and shared with insurance in a timely manner. Making sure ADT is secured from risk and compliance perspective.

1. Actively follow and promote the ADT safety and security policies and ensure that fellow employees and visitors are doing the same. These policies are to be always followed within the port environment to ensure a safe and secure workplace for all.

2. Manage ADT’s insurance program and be responsible for issuance and renewal of all ADT’s insurance policies.

3. Perform effective gap analysis, assess areas of risk exposure for ADT and making sure they are adequately covered through ADT’s insurances.

4. Responsible for running with ADT’s insurance tender exercise, coordinating with all stakeholders (internal & external), ensuring appointment of cost competitive and best brokers & insurance companies.

5. Primary point of contact for ADT’s brokers, insurers, internal & external stakeholders, and customers with respect to claims and damages.

6. Study insurance proposals before tendering all insurance policies, preparing bid analysis, and presenting to Management.

7. Manage all external claims with third parties and customers that occur at any of the port facilities operated by the company without compromising ADT’s interests at all times.

8. Investigates damage-related incident / accident claims, and assesses damage, coordinate with various departments for the estimated cost for the repair of container/equipment and ensure timely and systematic update of all claims related databases, soft copy and hard copy etc.

9. Appoints independent surveyors in case of any need for the certification of the damages and liaise with the insurance company / brokers for the cargo damages.

10. Review the current contracts/sub contracts to ensure that ADT’s insurance interest is adequately protected.

11. Liaise with claims issues specifically related to Port Operator’s Liability & Port Package (Property, Equipment & Business Interruption) cases and follow up on timely settlement of claims.

12. Maintaining records of insurance claims and have ongoing discussion with ADT’s brokers and insurance companies for timely claim settlement.

13. Regular update on insurance, claims management and potential risks to the line manager and senior management.

14. Updating and revising insurance & claims procedure.

15. Work alongside Risk & Compliance department to manage Finance department’s risk register and business continuity process.

16. Work on annual insurance budget, process insurance invoices making sure they are paid on time.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Requires at least five to seven years of experience in insurance claims management, especially marine liability and port package.

• Requires knowledge of port specific insurance policies.
