Tasks:
- Handle and update the Legal Departments’ records and log sheets as required including filing, indexing and keeping custody of the Original Agreements and legal files
- Preparing regular legal reports and summaries.
- Perform the general administrative work for the legal department and assist and support the Chief Legal Counsel in various legal matters as required
- Proofread legal documents and agreements.
- Draft certain legal documents and agreements (such as NDA, MOUs, resolutions etc.).
- Conduct legal researches.
- Assist in setting up and/or renewing of local and international companies ensuring all documents are ready for new companies' incorporations and follow up on those incorporated.
- Prepare legal documents for notary public and courts.
- Ensure licenses and respective company regulatory requirements are valid and renewed in a timely manner.
- Work closely with Arabic Legal Admin Assistant to coordinate translations needed on documents and contracts from English to Arabic and vice versa
- Analyse and review internal and external legal documents or documents having legal implications when required
- Ensure licenses and respective company regulatory requirements are valid and renewed in a timely manner.
- Liaise and correspond with external lawyers and third parties and arrange meetings.
- Coordinate all kinds of communications between Chief Legal Counsel and UAE/GCC government authorities and third parties as necessary.
- Handle petty cash and take charge of disbursements.
- Handle and follow up on invoices and payments to external lawyers and related third parties.
- Handle and conduct legal translations on documents and contracts from English to Arabic and vice versa. Perform any other related tasks as assigned by the Chief Legal Counsel and/or the line manager
- From time to time, you may be required to change your work location upon the request of the Management team
- You may be required upon the request of the Management team to visit business partners or other third party offices where necessary

Skills
Required Knowledge:
- Degree holder level, preferably in law
- Excellent computer skills, specifically in MS Office applications
- In depth knowledge of legal terminology & principles
- English language required. Arabic desirable
Essential Experience:
- 2-4 years working experience, preferably in a Legal Department
- Experience in corporate and/or commercial legal practice.
