HR Director for an Advisory Firm

Working with key stakeholders at this exciting new boutique advisory, the HR Director will take a leading role in HR department set up according to best practices and oversee processes and implementation of HR directives. Key Responsibilities: Performance Management: Design, implement, and manage a comprehensive performance management system that aligns with our business goals and promotes a high-performance culture. Oversee the development and execution of performance appraisal processes, ensuring consistency, fairness, and transparency. Provide coaching and support to managers and employees on performance-related issues, facilitating constructive feedback and professional development. Analyze performance data and metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement and develop strategies to address performance gaps. Staffing and Talent Acquisition: Lead the staffing process to ensure the timely and strategic placement of consultants on client projects, optimizing resource utilization and aligning talent with business needs. Collaborate with practice leaders to understand staffing requirements and develop a proactive talent acquisition strategy. Oversee the recruitment and selection process, ensuring the attraction of top-tier talent that aligns with our company’s values and strategic goals. Build and maintain strong relationships with universities, professional networks, and industry associations to support talent acquisition efforts. HR Strategy and Leadership: Develop and execute HR strategies that support the company’s overall business objectives, including talent management, succession planning, and organizational development. Serve as a strategic advisor to the senior leadership team on HR matters, providing insights and recommendations to drive business performance. Lead and mentor the HR team, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment that encourages continuous improvement and professional growth. Employee Engagement and Development: Implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention, ensuring a positive and inclusive workplace culture. Develop and manage comprehensive learning and development programs that support the career growth and skill development of our consultants. Facilitate leadership development programs to build a strong pipeline of future leaders within the organization. Conduct regular employee surveys to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement and develop action plans to address employee concerns. Create and manage mentorship and coaching programs to support the professional growth of consultants and staff. Organize and oversee company-wide events, workshops, and seminars aimed at enhancing employee engagement and team cohesion. Compensation and Benefits: Develop and manage competitive compensation and benefits programs that attract, retain, and motivate high-performing employees. Conduct regular benchmarking and market analysis to ensure our compensation and benefits packages are aligned with industry standards. Oversee the administration of payroll, benefits, and other HR-related functions to ensure compliance and efficiency. Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI): Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives across the organization, fostering a culture of respect and belonging. Develop and implement DEI strategies and programs that promote a diverse workforce and inclusive workplace environment. Track and report on diversity metrics, and ensure that DEI goals are integrated into all HR processes and business practices. Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations and maintain up-to-date knowledge of HR best practices and legislative changes. Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that mitigate risks and support the organization's strategic objectives. Oversee employee relations and address complex HR issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and investigations.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred. 15+ years of experience in human resources, with a significant portion spent in a management consulting environment Proven experience in performance management, staffing, and talent acquisition. Strong understanding of HR best practices and employment laws. Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to think strategically and implement HR initiatives that align with business objectives. Experience in managing and developing HR teams. Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
