Key Responsibilities:
E-commerce Strategy Development:
• Lead the creation and execution of strategic e-commerce initiatives that align with the company's overall objectives, driving profitable growth.
Website Management and Optimization:
• Take full ownership of the website's operational capabilities, including aesthetics, functionality, and content, ensuring a seamless, engaging, and efficient user experience.
Data-Driven Performance Analysis:
• Utilize advanced analytics to analyse each point in the growth marketing funnel, test and implement winning strategies to acquire and convert new eCommerce and subscription customers.
Third-Party Integrations:
• Leverage analytics tools to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as click-through rates, bounce rates, and customer retention rates, and use this data to make informed decisions that optimize website performance and refine marketing and site strategies.
Operations:
• Manage day to day operations and develop, maintain operational procedures for the e-commerce activities, including order management, customer service, fulfilment, ensuring alignment with business operations.
Product Management:
• Oversee the online product catalogue, ensuring it is reflective of the brand, aligned with market demand, and effectively promoted to maximize sales potential.
Promotions & Pricing:
• Manage product promotions, and pricing strategies to align with inventory and sales objectives, including the introduction of new products and the phasing out of underperformers.
Customer Experience and Service Management:
• Handle customer service escalations, providing solutions for complex customer service issues that arise from online transactions.
Technical and Security Oversight:
• Ensure that the e-commerce platform is robust, secure, and compliant with all relevant regulations, safeguarding customer information and company data.
Vendor and Partner Management:
• Manage relationships with external vendors and technology partners to ensure they meet the needs of the business, negotiating contracts that favour the company’s interests.
Innovation and Market Adaptation:
• Stay abreast of emerging e-commerce trends and technologies, adapting and innovating the company’s approach to maintain a competitive edge in the market.
Qualifications:
• 5+ years’ experience in a consumer-facing digital marketing role, preferably in an eCommerce environment.
• Demonstrated impact in a performance marketing, eCommerce, or sales role.
• Experience using platforms like Shopify, Recharge, Klaviyo, Square, Optimizely, Site Catalyst, or related marketing/eCommerce technologies.
• Proficiency in SEO, PPC, Email marketing, and social media strategies.
• Strong marketing and tech-savvy mindset.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Strong data analysis skills and love for experimentation. Must be excellent at using data to power marketing decision-making.
