Safety Engineer (Water Recycle)

The Safety Engineer will be working on projects associated with stormwater & drainage, flood alleviation, wastewater networks and water distribution networks. This will involve undertaking investigations, planning, designing, tendering, contract administration and construction monitoring. Key accountabilities for this position include but are not limited to: • Responsible for overall site Safety health and environment management. • Shall prepare site safety plan & procedures for site and implement safety policy. • Shall conduct safety meetings at least once every month and conduct the site safety Audit and report that to the management. • Health and safety supervisors conduct safety Training and other necessary training as fit by the management. • Conducts daily, weekly, and monthly safety inspections and documents them for reference. Consult with workers and management on the best approach to deliver a safe working environment for all workers. • Conduct risk assessment program for the site work activities. • Conduct Audit for the site, contractor and sub-contractor, Raise NCR, Accident, Incident Report. • Client Service Management - Internal and external client liaison - Ability to build and maintain safety environment at site. - Experience in infra project HSE supervision Management. • Follow safe work practices and adhere to company guidelines and policies for planning and executing work in a safe manner. - Complete all work in line with Stantec Core Values and in accordance with the Stantec Quality Systems and Project Quality Procedures. - Maintain the health and safety environment at workplace. • Other duties as requested from time to time by the Resident Engineer

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field. - Minimum of Eight (8) years of experience in a safety role. Experience in Water Recycle project is an advantages. - Certification in NEBOSH General/ Construction Certificate or equivalent
