We are seeking a well skilled and motivated Procurement Specialist to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for the procurement process, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of high-quality products. The role requires good analytical, negotiation, and communication skills to maintain strong supplier relationships and support our sales and project teams.
Inquiry Management:
• Obtain inquiries from the sales team and check product history.
• Select suppliers to float the inquiries and obtain prices.
Price Analysis:
• Analyze supplier prices and send detailed cost calculations before deadlines.
• Provide the history of prices and trends.
Supplier Selection:
• Source and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier relationships.
Order Management:
• Issue Purchase Orders.
• Arrange on-time payments and maintain import shipment tracking reports.
• Prepare a procurement action plan per the project schedule, considering lead items.
• Liaise with suppliers on delivery schedules to ensure on-time deliveries.
Negotiation and Coordination:
• Negotiate with suppliers on lead-time, cost, and quality to obtain the maximum benefit for the company.
• Coordinate and negotiate with forwarding companies to obtain the best freight rates and scheduled deliveries.
• Arrange pre-shipment inspections with the relevant agencies.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a similar role. Lubricant is advantage.
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
