Senior Procurement Executive

Job Summary: The Procurement Executive is responsible for managing and overseeing the procurement processes within the organization. This role involves sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring that goods and services are procured in a cost-effective and efficient manner. The Procurement Executive will work closely with various departments to understand their needs and ensure timely delivery of quality products and services.

Key Responsibilities: Procurement Strategy: Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals. Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements. Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery performance. Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to secure favorable agreements. Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers. Contract Management: Draft, review, and manage contracts to ensure compliance with legal and organizational requirements. Monitor contract performance and address any issues that arise. Market Analysis: Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, pricing, and new products. Analyze market conditions and supplier capabilities to make informed procurement decisions. Budget Management: Manage procurement budgets and ensure that spending is within approved limits. Prepare reports and forecasts on procurement activities and expenditures. Order Management: Oversee the purchase order process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of orders. Coordinate with internal departments to understand their procurement needs and priorities. Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure all procurement activities adhere to legal, regulatory, and organizational policies. Identify and mitigate risks associated with procurement processes and supplier relationships. Team Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to understand their requirements and provide support as needed. Lead and mentor procurement staff to achieve departmental goals. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CIPS) is a plus. Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management, with a track record of successful negotiations and supplier management. Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contract management, and market analysis. Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Preferred Skills: Experience in [ Steel Industry is preferred]. Knowledge of local and international procurement regulations and practices.
