Kitchen Assembly Assistant

Overview of the role

To ensure Customer expectation from their visit to IKEA is met or exceeded by effectively carrying out day to day jobs to meet service standards, to generate repeat visits and profit to the business

 

What you will do

  1. Assembly and Installation:
  • Assemble IKEA products, including furniture and fixtures, according to company guidelines and customer requirements.
  • Install and adjust products in customer homes or commercial spaces, ensuring proper fit and function.
  1. Customer Service:
  • Provide exceptional customer service, including answering questions and addressing concerns about product assembly or installation.
  • Offer guidance and recommendations on product use and maintenance.
  1. Product Knowledge:
  • Gain and maintain thorough knowledge of IKEA’s product lines, including materials, assembly instructions, and design features.
  • Stay updated on new product releases and changes to existing products.
  1. Quality Control:
  • Ensure all assemblies and installations meet IKEA’s quality standards and specifications.
  • Conduct final checks to ensure products are securely installed and functioning properly.
  1. Safety and Compliance:
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines during assembly and installation tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with IKEA’s standards and local building codes.
  1. Tool and Equipment Management:
  • Use and maintain carpentry tools and equipment in good working condition.
  • Manage and care for IKEA-provided tools and ensure they are returned in proper condition.
  1. Training and Development:
  • Participate in training sessions to improve skills and knowledge related to IKEA products and installation techniques.
  • Share best practices and insights with colleagues to enhance team performance.

What equips you for the role

 

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in carpentry is a plus.
  • Experience: Previous experience with furniture assembly or installation is preferred; familiarity with IKEA products is advantageous.
