Purpose of Job

Responsible for planning, coordinating, maintaining, updating, enhancing,

supervising and securing the DCS, SCADA and various Automation systems of the

plant to ensure the trouble-free operations, optimum performance, system

integrity and security. Also, regularly monitors & manages the systems to

quickly address the problems or adjust / improve automated process

operations. Focuses on highly critical issues of Cyber Security for the

Critical Control Systems which directly affect the efficiency of Plant

Automation Systems in compliance with Takreer Security policy.

Skills,Experience and Education

• Bachelor Degree in Instrumentation, Control, Electrical
• Engineering or equivalent. Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills
• 9 years of DCS / SCADA Control Systems experience.
• Knowledge & experience in the Oil & Gas / Petrochemical industry
• Hands-on experience in any of the reputed DCS,
• SCADA and Control systems
• Exposure to the Cyber Security of Critical Control Systems
• Basic knowledge in IT systems & Database applications
• Knowledge in Telecommunication systems, LAN/WAN Networks and Fibre Optics
• Experience in System Design, Engineering & Documentation is preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting skills, analytical ability and problem solving skills
• Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing with all levels of
• management, operations, and technical personnel in easy to
• understand yet precise format
• Ability to interact / coordinate with various disciplines, good
• presentation skills and having demonstrated management capabilities
• Attention to detail and willing to learn, develop and adopt changes.
• Very good knowledge of English. Knowledge of Arabic is preferable.
