Site Civil Engineer

Key Responsibilities:


1. Site Management:

  • Project Oversight: Supervise day-to-day construction activities on-site, ensuring compliance with engineering plans, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Coordination: Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of construction tasks.


2. Technical Duties:

  • Design Implementation: Review and interpret engineering drawings and plans to ensure accurate execution of civil works.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct regular inspections and testing of materials and workmanship to ensure adherence to project specifications and industry standards.


3. Health and Safety:

  • Safety Compliance: Implement and enforce safety procedures and protocols on-site, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks and prevent accidents.


4. Project Documentation:

  • Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of construction progress, including daily reports, site photographs, and quality control documentation.
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit regular progress reports to project managers and senior engineers, highlighting any issues or delays.


5. Problem Solving:

  • Issue Resolution: Address and resolve any technical or logistical issues that arise on-site, coordinating with relevant parties to find effective solutions.
  • Change Management: Assess and manage changes to project scope, design, or schedule, ensuring proper documentation and communication with stakeholders.


6. Collaboration:

  • Team Coordination: Work closely with project managers, architects, and other engineering disciplines to ensure project goals and deadlines are met.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with clients, local authorities, and other stakeholders to address concerns and ensure compliance with project requirements.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Professional Engineering license or equivalent certification is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on site management and construction supervision.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering principles, construction methods, and safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
