Financial Controller – Fintech.

Our client, a leading UAE based Fintech, is searching for a Financial Controller to join their growing team in Dubai.

The company has enjoyed rapid growth in the last 2 years and there is still a significant scope to continue, both locally and internationally. The company is looking to build on a solid client base, launching new projects, forming strategic partnerships, raising capital, and exploring M&A possibilities.

They need a strong Financial Controller to manage the operational side of the business as well as supporting the CFO with more strategic and commercial activity.

Key lead responsibilities:

• Accounting / book-keeping
• Production of monthly and quarterly management information reports
• Production of annual audited accounts
• Assisting with the creation of annual budgets
• Assisting with the development of longer-range financial forecasts and business plans
• Investor relations, including production of pitch decks
• Business case analyses
• Strategic projects including commercial partnerships and M&A

Required experience / skills:

• CFA or similar professional accounting qualification is a pre-requisite
• Strong understanding of key accounting rules in UAE
• Substantial previous experience as a financial controller, ideally in a payments and related financial services sector, ideally in a business consolidating activities in multiple countries
• Experience in managing audit processes
• Familiarity with Oracle or similar accounting software, and with application of manual processes where necessary
• Excellent excel modelling skills
