Overview of the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled IT Support Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical assistance, support, and ensuring that IT systems and services are functioning optimally. The role includes troubleshooting hardware and software issues, installing and configuring systems, and offering timely support to end-users. The role will primarily focus on providing 24/7 support for VIPs.


Key responsibilities and accountabilities


• Respond to support requests from end-users via phone, email, or in-person.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.

• Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners.

• Perform regular system updates and backups.

• Conduct regular maintenance and updates on IT equipment to prevent system downtime.

• Monitor system performance and implement performance tuning as necessary.

• Provide training and support to end-users on various software applications and hardware.

• Work with other IT team members to resolve complex issues and support projects.

Skills

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree required; an associate’s degree or relevant certification is a plus.

• Proven experience in a technical support role.

• Experience with various operating systems (Windows, Mac OS, Linux) and network environments.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Familiarity with help desk software and remote support tools

• Willingness to travel as required.
