Role Purpose:

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the technical and management levels in overseeing the maintenance and operations of our facilities. Your role will involve ensuring the efficient functioning of all building systems, where applicable, managing a team of technicians, supervisors and/or coordinators, in house or from the appointed contractors, and contributing to the operational planning and execution of the maintenance in the assigned facility or facilities.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist the management in coordinating and supervising all relevant maintenance activities within the facilities.
  • Oversee the operation, maintenance, and repair of civil structure, building fabrics, furniture, landscaping, floors and all other civil related to ensure optimal performance.
  • In some cases, manage a team of technicians, supervisors, coordinators and support staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Supervise and participate in the maintenance activities delivered by the relevant service providers.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime and reduce operational costs.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of emergency response plans, ensuring preparedness for unforeseen incidents.
  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify and address maintenance needs, safety hazards, and compliance with regulations. Implement and oversee quality control measures to maintain high standards in facilities and services
  • Collaborate with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs, maintenance, or projects.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering, soft services, project management, health and safety, operations, guest services and security, to ensure coordinated and integrated services.
  • Assist in budget planning and monitoring expenditures related to maintenance activities and equipment purchases and contribute to cost-effective operations.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations in all maintenance operations.
  • Provide technical expertise and support for troubleshooting and resolving simple or complex issues in building systems. Address and resolve facilities-related issues promptly, seeking innovative solutions when necessary.
  • Assist in developing and implementing energy conservation initiatives and sustainable practices.
  • Maintain accurate records of facilities management activities and develop and review reports, technical instructions, scope of works, proposals and any other relevant documentation necessary for the correct operation of the function.
  • Be up to date with the latest industry developments and technological advances. Bring innovation to the table.
  • Foster a customer-centric approach by ensuring that facilities are well-maintained and provide a positive experience for visitors. Report on any customer experience enhancer or inhibitor in order to continuously improve our visitor’s journey.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
  • Proven experience in facilities management, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role in Malls.
  • Knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire protection systems. Strong knowledge of technical system(s) related to all civil works and projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise and motivate a diverse team.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to maintenance and operational challenges.
  • Proficiency in computer-aided facility management (CAFM) software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of local regulations, codes, and safety standards related to facilities management.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional certification or license in facilities management or engineering (e.g., CFM, P.E.).
  • Experience working in retail, commercial property management or aviation.
  • Familiarity with sustainable practices and energy-efficient technologies.
