We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Pathologist to join our growing team. As a Pathologist, you will play a vital role in the diagnostics and treatment of diseases and conditions through the analysis and examination of tissue samples, fluids, and other specimens.
Responsibilities
- Obtain and analyze patient samples, including blood, urine, and tissue
- Conduct a variety of diagnostic tests, such as histopathology, cytology, and molecular pathology
- Interpret test results to determine the presence and severity of disease
- Consult with other medical professionals to discuss diagnosis and treatment plans
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of test results
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements and developments in pathology
- Manage and maintain laboratory equipment and supplies
- Oversee and train laboratory staff, including medical technologists and technicians
- Participate in research studies and contribute to medical publications
Qualifications
- Medical degree (MD or DO) and completion of a pathology residency program
- Board certification by the American Board of Pathology
- Unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state where the position is located
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
