Organization Unit Purpose
EMCAP PSC (Custody), in partnership with a Global Custodian, is offering securities related services including local and international custody. Candidate will provide operational support to Internal & External stakeholders. Adherence to Rules and Regulations from the Regulators (i.e. SCA, DFSA); Markets (i.e. DFM, ADX, NASDAQ DUBAI, DGCX), ensure compliance with ENBD policies and procedures as well as underlying SLAs / Agreements / SLAs with affiliated and non-affiliated TMs.
Job Purpose
- Responsible for managing all operational requirements for custody clients, addressing their inquiries, and ensuring a seamless client experience.
- Responsible of generating, reviewing, and distributing accurate and timely reports to custody clients.
- Coordinate closely with internal departments and clients to ensure that all reporting requirements are met and that clients receive high-quality service related to their reporting needs.
- Improve operations service levels by effective coordination with internal & external stake holders on all operational tasks.
Job Content
Reporting
- Prepare and deliver accurate, timely, and customized reports for custody clients, including portfolio statements, transaction summaries, and performance reports.
- Ensure all reports are in compliance with client requirements, internal policies, and regulatory standards.
- Perform thorough reviews of reports to ensure accuracy, identifying and correcting any discrepancies or errors.
- Distribute reports in accordance with client preferences (daily, monthly, quarterly, etc.) and agreed-upon formats.
- Maintain a schedule of reporting deadlines and ensure adherence to these timelines.
- Provide clients with regular updates on their account activities, including performance summaries and transaction reports.
- Proactively communicate any changes to custody services, policies, or regulatory requirements that may impact the client.
- Manage custody reporting and reconciliation process for custody clients.
- SCA Quarterly report preparation
- Monthly reporting of various submissions such as tax invoice preparation
Client Support & Issue Resolution
- Serve as the primary point of contact for custody clients, providing ongoing support and addressing any queries related to custody services.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and delivering a high level of service.
- Manage and resolve client inquiries related to custody services, including transactions, settlements, corporate actions, and reporting.
- Liaise with relevant departments to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues, ensuring timely and accurate solutions.
- Escalate complex or unresolved issues to management when necessary, ensuring they are addressed promptly.
- Keep clients informed of the status of their inquiries and provide timely updates on resolution progress.
- Understand client needs and ensure their satisfaction by proactively identifying and resolving any issues that may arise.
- Assist in the client onboarding process by coordinating with internal teams to ensure that all required documentation and data are accurately collected and processed.
- Ensure that client accounts are set up and serviced in accordance with contractual agreements and company policies.
- Monitor client activity to ensure that services are delivered efficiently and that any potential issues are proactively addressed.
Monitoring system related issues & coordination with IT support
- Attending to system issues in coordination with IT, logging call in remedy & ensuring the issues are resolved appropriately.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure that all client reporting procedures adhere to relevant legal, regulatory, and company standards.
- Support internal audits and compliance reviews by providing necessary documentation and reports.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to data accuracy, reporting errors, and operational inefficiencies.
Projects/Initiatives
- Ensure valuable input to new and ongoing activities.
- Identify processes for improvement and automation in the relevant work area
Support & Back Up as assigned
- Act as back up for other team members when assigned.
- Ensure adherence to task lists as per the assignments.
- Support in any other task assigned by the Head of Custody Operations
Education
- Bachelor Degree
- Professional examination
Experiences
- 3 years of experience in in related field
Knowledge & Skills
- Regulatory framework background, with a good understanding of UAE regulatory environment/ banking/ financial regulations and regimes
- Good understanding of various instruments traded in Capital Market
- Should have experience in managing Settlement functions of a custodian
- Key account Management techniques, proper understanding on operation and customers’ need
- Have fair knowledge of compliance requirements of a custodian
- Reasonable understanding of tax provisions relating to custodial business
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to assess existing processes and identify required actions
