Job Summary:
- The Corporate Support Assistant Manager in Procurement supports the organization in acquiring goods and services efficiently and cost-effectively.
- The role involves assisting in procurement strategy development, managing supplier relationships, ensuring policy compliance, and contributing to cost-saving initiatives, all while aligning procurement operations with business goals.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Data Analytics & Insight Generation:
- Analyze procurement data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
- Develop insightful reports and presentations that clearly communicate procurement strategies and results to senior management.
- Utilize Power BI and Oracle to manage procurement data and generate actionable insights.
RFP Management & Contract Negotiation:
- Lead the end-to-end process of Request for Proposals (RFPs) for various procurement categories, ensuring alignment with business needs and budget constraints.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers, securing favorable terms and ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders.
Financial Acumen:
- Understand and manage procurement budgets, forecasts, and financial metrics.
- Collaborate with finance teams to align procurement activities with financial goals.
Shared Procurement Services:
- Work within a shared procurement services model, optimizing cross-functional collaboration and resource sharing.
- Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives within the shared service framework.
Support to Procurement Leadership:
- Assist the Head of Procurement in strategic decision-making and the execution of procurement initiatives.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior procurement staff.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in relevant field e.g. business administration, operations management etc.
- 7-10 years of relevant experience in procurement and management consulting, preferably within the events, motorsports, or related industries.
Job Specifications:
- Proficiency in Oracle, Power BI, and other relevant procurement and analytics tools.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to draw insights from complex data sets and present findings in a clear and compelling manner.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Able to handle and resolve complex issues.
- Forecasting: Use market data to forecast future procurement needs and adjust strategies accordingly to align with market conditions.
