Position Summary: The Night Auditor is responsible for managing the hotel's front desk operations during the night shift, ensuring a smooth and efficient check-in and check-out process for guests. This role combines front desk duties with accounting responsibilities, including the reconciliation of daily financial transactions.


Key Responsibilities:

Front Desk Operations:

  • Greet and assist guests with check-in and check-out procedures.
  • Address guest inquiries and resolve any issues or concerns.
  • Provide information about hotel services and local attractions.


Financial Management:

  • Conduct nightly audits of financial transactions and guest accounts.
  • Prepare and reconcile daily financial reports, including revenue and expenses.
  • Ensure all cash, credit card, and other transactions are accurately recorded.


System Maintenance:

  • Update and maintain guest information in the hotel management system.
  • Prepare reports for management on occupancy rates, revenue, and other key metrics.


Communication:

  • Communicate effectively with the management team regarding any issues or discrepancies.
  • Assist with the training of new staff members as required.


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in hospitality or finance is a plus.
  • Previous experience in hotel front desk or accounting roles preferred.
  • Proficiency in hotel management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks effectively.


Working Conditions:

  • Night shift hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • May require standing for extended periods and handling light lifting.
