HSE Officer (Saudi Arabia)

Eram Talent is seeking a skilled HSE Officer to join our team in Saudi Arabia. The HSE Officer will be responsible for supporting health, safety, and environmental initiatives to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in HSE practices, excellent analytical skills, and a proactive approach to safety in the workplace.

Key Accountabilities & Activities

  • Ensure Implementation Health & Safety Construction Plan by contractor in projects
  • Ensure timely processing of Health & Safety related waiver and clarification requests from contractor within the established period
  • Avoid/minimize the Health & Safety risk associated in Projects by taking proactive/preventive programs and actions
  • Participate in periodic Health & Safety evaluation program with contractors highlight the findings/observation and follow up with them to ensure it is closed properly
  • Ensure technical guidance and direction for safety and occupational health program implementation
  • Performs audits and inspections of work sites, as required, to assure compliance with Health and Safety program requirements; prepares technical reports of inspection findings; and develops corrective actions
  • Review contractor hazard and job safety analysis to ensure proper use of machinery and equipment, personal protective equipment, and procedures
  • Participate in Health and Safety incident investigation as required
  • Assist Engagement H&S Manager in reviewing incident analysis
  • Performs other duties as assigned


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of Health & Safety experience in construction sector
  • Knowledge of HSE regulations and best practices
  • Experience in conducting safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to develop and implement safety training and awareness programs
  • Certification in safety management (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with emergency response procedures and incident investigation
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently
  • Willingness to travel to different sites as required
  • Demonstrated knowledge of all Health & Safety statutes including construction, plant Safety, general industry, as well as industry standards
  • Experience preparing required Health & Safety reports and demonstrated record driving safety performance improvements
  • NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate, or equivalent
