JOB PURPOSE:
Perform quality servicing and repairs, on all mechanical/electrical components of a motor vehicle to return them to the manufacturer's specifications in observance of operating procedures to ensure customer satisfaction. Closely coordinate with the foreman on daily basis and support the team as required on urgent jobs or those that need to be carried on a priority basis.
Accountabilities:
· Operations: Identify the customer requests, analyze them with supervisor/foreman, and refine the diagnostic and repair process. Perform the requested work in observance of the manufacturer's methods, recommendations and operating procedures. Prepare supplies outward sheet for parts to be replaced and transfer them from the spare parts division to service as required. Lead and provide guidance to junior technicians on difficult diagnostic tasks.
· Tools & Equipment: Use the provided tools and systems of the manufacturer to carry out the repairs as per manufacturer guidelines to maintain high quality repair standard. Ensure all components at the periphery of the work location are in good working condition and operational.
· Delivery: Perform safety inspections and complete the quality control sheet to inform the team leader/foreman when vehicle has been completed. Prepare vehicle for delivery. Ensure all equipment and accessories are in place, check vehicle has been cleaned and return any damaged or old parts to the customer if requested.
· Safety: Observe safety rules defined for the equipment, instruments and products. Apply the manufacturer's directives and the safety rules to avoid any damage to the vehicles or to self. Observe precautionary measures to avoid occupational hazards of the repair works. Job Specific Information
· Master Technician/ Diagnostic Technician will be closely working with the team leader, foreman and the service team. Will follow operational procedures as instructed.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, COMPETENCIES Qualification (e.g. Academic Qualification, Certifications, Licenses)
· Secondary School Education Certificate.
· Vocational Diploma as Technician in mechanical, electrical or equivalent is preferred.
· Certification as Technician in Electrical and Mechanical mastery, Certified Diagnostic Technician is preferred.
Experience:
· 6 years of minimum experience in repair work & operations within automotive work shop; out of which 2 years should be on supervisory role.
· Experience as a technician in luxury car brand is preferred.
