Sales Executive - GSA - Philippine Airlines

Job Purpose

Achieve assigned portfolio?s revenue target whilst supporting the overall country plan and commercial target by ensuring that the the line of business? position in the market is protected. Source new business and maintain existing business, whilst ensuring to plan, manage and implement sales & marketing activities within the assigned portfolio of Corporate and Travel Agencies within designated work areas.

Job Outline

Plan

  • Recommend, develop promotional action plans focused on meeting the line of business? revenue targets within account portfolio.
  • Participate and actively contribute to planning sessions by providing constructive feedback and customer trends and insights to help identify new opportunities and challenges and to ensure that the product range, pricing, promotion plans and sales strategies are well suited to the market place.

Deploy

  • Review and monitor sales strategies in the territory and provide recommendations the customer to ensure the line of business? is competitively positioned and remains the supplier of choice for customers.
  • Co-ordinate the distribution of quality marketing and promotional collateral and material.

Lead

  • Work closely with supporting sales teams/business units to ensure that all business opportunities are exploited objectively and effectively.
  • Gather and analyse competitor intelligence and market trends with action-based data to support management in refining sales and business strategies to ensure the business maintains a leading position in the market.

Execute

  • Achieve / exceed revenue & passenger targets within the allocated area of work, to support the growth objectives of the business.
  • Execute and monitor incentive programmes with Travel trade and corporate houses within guidelines established and ensure revenue targets are met.
  • Create frequent reviews and reports with sales and financial data with feedback and recommendations to Sales Manager on Sales.

Qualifications & Experience

Experience / Qualification / Knowledge / Skills

  • 12 Years schooling or equivalent
  • More than 5 years in Commercial Sales
  • Sales experience in the Travel or Airline industry.
  • Experience in the the Travel Agency /GDS/Airline industry including 5 years in outdoor sales & marketing capacity
  • Sabre GDS user knowledge would be an advantage
  • Current experience and knowledge of travel trade distribution essential.
  • Experience and knowledge of the Travel Trade and Corporate sector essential
  • Strong Customer Service, presentation & Negotiation skills, a must.
  • Computer Knowledge, i.e. Ms. Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Must be adaptable and a strong team player with the ability to work under pressure
  • Valid UAE Driver's License
  • Must be prepared to work after hours and weekends when needed.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
