Trade Marketing Manager

JOB PURPOSE

  • Develop Trade/ Shopper Marketing Strategy across the portfolio of brands and implementation of Corporate Trade Marketing Plan
  • Developing outstanding Shopper Marketing and Trade Marketing activities throughout the path to purchase working closely with the Shopper and Trade Activation Managers.
  • Execute the trade marketing plan across Aujan’s International Markets.
  • Tracking and reporting results of various in store trade marketing campaigns.
  • Managing brand budgets and maximizing return on investment. Accountable for management of the assigned shopper marketing budget; including booking and raising purchase orders of all activities


Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development, co-ordination and implementation of the regional trade marketing plan aligned with regional brand strategies, brand success models, Portfolio management and ATL activities to ensure maximum sales off take and market share impact.
  • Submits the annual regional trade activity plan by brand, category and period mirroring the brand led ATL activation
  • Develop and implement trade marketing plans for NPD’s , line extensions and IMC’s
  • Approval of country activation plans aligned with regional brand managers
  • Reapplication of brand success models, campaigns, and material. Collaborate with country activation teams to ensure POS, campaigns are locally appropriate and aligned with regional plan
  • Category Management working with each regional brand manager (planogram, promotion, merchandizing, communication) for key channels
  • Recommend or develop innovative trade engaging campaigns to drive shopper purchase behavior
  • Create and implement a BTL calendar with clearly defined project KPI’s such as concept rationale, objectives, channel deliverables, budgets, time frame etc
  • Define Picture of Success for each activation and sell in story for the trade.
  • Lead and oversee short and long lead Trade Marketing projects, promotional material as per yearly brand plans ensuring all artwork and items are on brand and delivered
  • Design activating toolkits that increase the overall marketing effectiveness by aligning to the operational on ground activation, to drive best practice planning and execution across all channels
  • Align overall budget allocation on BTL activation with Brand and BU teams
  • Develop standard templates and formats to ensure optimum budget utilization
  • Agree and align teams with routines and reports to control budgets
  • Conduct budget and BTL activation reviews and provide report at the completion of each activity



Requirement:

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Customer Marketing/Channel Management/Trade and Shopper Marketing within integrated FMCG organizations (preferably in food/beverages)
  • Bachelor’s Degree of Commerce, Marketing or related fields. (post graduate advantageous)
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful activation/innovation programs.
  • Excellent Project management skills, end-to-end project delivery and experience with managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think creatively and find innovative solutions to complex problems.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office, Power BI or similar analytical tools.
