Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Mid-Senior Accountant with experience managing the financial accounts of a group of companies based in UAE and UK. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles, intercompany transactions, and financial consolidations. This role will involve financial reporting, budget management, audit preparation, and ensuring compliance with UAE tax regulations and UK regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Management:
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations for multiple entities within the group.
- Maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Prepare consolidated financial statements for the group of companies.
- Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Assist in preparing annual budgets and forecasts for all group entities.
- Monitor actual performance against budget and provide variance analysis.
- Intercompany Transactions:
- Handle intercompany billing, reconciliation, and settlements.
- Ensure accurate recording and elimination of intercompany balances during consolidation.
- Taxation & Compliance:
- Ensure timely filing of VAT returns and other tax-related documents in compliance with UAE regulations.
- Liaise with external auditors for year-end audits and ensure compliance with audit requirements.
- Cash Flow Management:
- Monitor and manage the cash flow of all group entities, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
- Prepare cash flow forecasts and ensure liquidity for the group’s operations.
- Financial Reporting:
- Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for senior management.
- Prepare ad-hoc financial reports as required by the management.
- Internal Controls:
- Develop and maintain strong internal controls and financial processes across all group entities.
- Implement improvements to accounting processes and ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures.
Key Requirements:
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CMA) is preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in accounting in UAE or UK, with at least 2 years managing a group of companies.
- Experience in preparing consolidated financial statements and handling intercompany transactions is essential.
- Skills:
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle,Zoho, Quickbooks or similar accounting systems).
- Strong understanding of UAE tax laws and regulations, including VAT and understanding of UK tax laws.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial reporting tools.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
