Job Summary:

We are seeking a Warehouse Inventory Controller to oversee our furniture inventory, ensuring accurate stock management and efficient warehouse operations. This role involves tracking furniture movement, managing stock levels, conducting regular audits, and coordinating with the procurement and logistics teams to maintain optimal stock levels for our furnished properties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of furniture inventory within the warehouse.
  • Maintain an accurate record of all furniture assets, including stock levels, movements, and damages.
  • Coordinate furniture deliveries to and from properties, ensuring timely transfers and installations.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts to identify discrepancies and ensure stock accuracy.
  • Ensure the warehouse is organized, clean, and compliant with safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with the procurement team to reorder furniture as needed based on usage patterns and inventory levels.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports for management regarding stock status, shortages, and excesses.
  • Monitor and manage inventory-related documentation, including shipping records, invoices, and receipts.
  • Track damaged or defective items and ensure proper repairs, replacements, or disposals are made.
  • Work closely with the logistics and operations teams to support property setups and furniture installations.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an Inventory Controller, Warehouse Manager, or similar role in the furniture or related industry.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management systems, and best practices.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Proficiency in inventory software, MS Excel, and warehouse management systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to managing inventory levels.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, logistics, and property management.

Preferred:

  • Previous experience in furniture handling and inventory control in a real estate or property management context.
  • Knowledge of short-term rental property furnishing standards and trends.
