Job Description

The Transport Manager will be responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of transportation services, including guest transfers, staff transportation, and logistics. This role requires excellent organizational skills, strong leadership abilities, and a commitment to ensuring safety and providing exceptional service to our guests.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and manage all transportation activities, including guest and staff transfers.
  • Oversee and manage the marine logistics operations.
  • Develop and implement transportation schedules to optimize fleet efficiency and ensure prompt service for guests and staff.
  • Monitor the maintenance and condition of all vehicles and marine equipment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and hotel standards.
  • Recruit, train, and manage a team of drivers, boat captains, and other transportation personnel, ensuring high levels of professionalism and customer service.
  • Collaborate with other hotel departments (e.g., Front Office, Concierge) to align transportation services with guest needs.
  • Manage the transportation budget, track expenses, and find cost-effective solutions without compromising service quality.
  • Coordinate with local transportation authorities and service providers for permits, compliance, and partnership opportunities.
  • Respond promptly to guest and staff inquiries or issues related to transportation, providing resolutions that enhance the overall hotel experience.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Transport Manager or in a similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong organizational and logistical skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
  • Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using transportation management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to work in a remote island setting.
