Codes and Approvals Specialist (UAE National)

Charterhouse is working with a renowned company within the construction and civil engineering industry, who are currently looking for a Codes and Approvals Specialist to join their team. This is a full-time position, based out of either Abu Dhabi or Dubai. About the role
The Codes and Approvals Specialist will focus on driving compliance with, and advancement of, codes and regulations specifically related to fire stop anchors within the UAE. This role involves engaging with local clients, consultants, and key stakeholders, as well as actively participating in industry committees to shape the regulatory landscape within the UAE. The Codes and Approvals Specialist will play a critical role in identifying opportunities and challenges related to new or evolving code requirements specific to fire safety anchors.

In this role, the Codes and Approvals Specialist will define, communicate, and implement the local code and regulation strategy and roadmap while maintaining an overview of relevant regional codes and regulations related to the product and application portfolio. Other duties will include translating regulatory status and anticipated changes into business opportunities, effectively communicating formal requirements to stakeholders, and building strong relationships with code officials and key industry influencers.

About you
To comply with the UAE Emiratization law, our client is looking to hire a UAE National with Family Book. The successful candidate must have a bachelor’s Degree in engineering (civil, structural, mechanical), a Masters or an MBA is a plus.

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a relevant field, dealing with codes and specifications. In addition, the candidate should possess project management experience and be capable of overseeing projects related to code development, compliance, and enforcement. Fluency in English and Arabic both verbal and written is essential. This role involves frequent travel to various locations across the GCC.
