In this role as a Manager Technical Compliance, you are accountable to conduct, document, and report on self-assessment activities, inspections, and investigations to ensure accurate identification, tracking, and management of risks in compliance with Continuing Airworthiness (CAR-M) and Aircraft Maintenance Organisation (AMO) regulatory requirements.
Accountabilities
Self-assessment Planning and Execution:
- Plan and conduct assessments, inspections, and investigations using a variety of audit techniques to identify risks and potential issues in compliance with organisational approvals and regulations.
- Develop detailed assessment checklists and prepare comprehensive reports, ensuring timely communication and alignment with organisational approvals.
Risk Identification and Management:
- Identify risks and potential issues through thorough assessments and inspections to support timely and accurate resolution.
- Conduct, support, and advise with respect to Root Cause Analysis (RCA) as stipulated within regulation.
- Manage and conduct assessments and follow-up inspections to ensure the effective implementation of corrective actions.
Standards Monitoring:
- Monitor the implementation of safety and quality standards and procedures to ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collect, review, and consolidate Safety and Quality Management System (SQMS) requirements to continuously improve and align with regulatory requirements.
Continuous Improvement:
- Collect internal and external leading practices to support continuous improvement of safety procedures and the effective design and implementation of enhanced strategies.
Administrative Support:
- Assist in completing administrative duties and data entry activities to ensure the appropriate database is up-to-date and accurate
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in aviation management, Safety Management, Engineering, or a related field. Or hold an Aircraft Maintenance License.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in aviation safety and compliance roles, preferably within a technical or maintenance environment.
- In-depth knowledge of aviation regulations, including CAR 145, CAR M, and ICAO standards.
- Certified Safety Management System (SMS) professional / Lead Auditor training or equivalent certification is preferred.
- Experience with safety auditing and risk management practices.
