Charterhouse is working with an organization that supports Dubai's vision globally by empowering businesses. Our client is looking to hire a Legal Counsel, to be based in Dubai. Preference will be given to candidates who are immediately available or on short notice.

About the Role
This role is an excellent overseas opportunity for a Legal Counsel to join a dynamic team and help with all tasks related to policy advocacy including analysing complex issues, comparing, translating, interpreting advocacy issues, and reviewing drafts of new laws or amendments of existing laws. Additionally, the Legal Counsel will identify opportunities for the continuous improvement of departmental systems, policies, processes and practices considering international leading practices to improve productivity and operational efficiency.

This role will work side by side with the Senior Manager in the policy advocacy functions and activities which contribute in creating a favourable business environment in line with the client vision and strategic objectives, including department reports, processes & business plans to support achieving objectives of the department. Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and relevant quality, health, safety, security and environmental procedures and controls across the Department to guarantee employee safety and delivery of high-quality service is also an essential task for this role.

About you
The successful candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in Law and a Master degree in relevant filed. Fluency in Arabic and English, both verbal and written is mandatory for this role. Our client has a preference for candidates with + 5 years of experience with especial focus on civil law, common law and local law.
