Charterhouse is working with a global strategic consultancy who provide advisory services and organise large scale, impactful conferences, ceremonies and forums across the GCC. Our client is looking to hire a Freelance Project Director who will oversee project execution from concept to delivery, working closely with cross functional teams and stakeholders. This role will be based between Dubai and Riyadh with regular travel involved between both regions.
About the role
This role will be responsible for overseeing project plans from initial conceptualizing stage to project delivery, being the key contact on behalf of the business to communicate progress and provide strategic guidance to clients and key stakeholders. The projects will vary from virtual forums, to large scale ceremonies and festivals, therefore requiring an individual who is able to think creatively across project verticals to improve project outcomes and create a long-lasting impact.
This role will work closely with teams across production, logistics, program development and will bring together and oversee the plans across all departments to achieve strategic objectives within the required budget and deadline. There will be extensive travel required for this role, often at short notice therefore a willingness and flexibility to travel is essential.
About you
To be considered for this role, the candidate should possess an MBA in a relevant field alongside a minimum of 4 years’ working experience in a similar role, focussed on delivering large scale corporate events and forums. Our client is looking to hire a self-motivated individual with the ability to coach team members and build trusting strategic partnerships with a range of C level clients specifically within the government sector.
An interest and existing knowledge related to global issues including investment, sustainability and transformation is highly desirable for this role. Previous experience working closely with C Level executives within a corporate setting including government, ministries and NGOs is essential for this role. In addition, the successful candidate should have excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills in order to develop trusting long-term relationships with a range of stakeholders both internally and externally.
