About the role
The Finance Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing financial management, regulatory compliance, strategic planning and reporting across the business’ UAE operations. This position demands strong leadership acumen and capability of guiding a team of finance experts while streamlining financial operations and fostering business expansion. The Finance Manager will ensure that all financial activities adhere to UAE accounting standards and regulatory mandates while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of financial statements in line with IFRS, reports, budgets, and forecasts.
Through astute financial planning, the role will focus on optimizing costs, enhancing profitability, and bolstering financial sustainability. Beyond day-to-day financial operations, the Finance Manager will be responsible for providing strategic financial insights to support decision-making at a management level and contributing to business growth. This position will play an instrumental role in development and execution of financial policies, controls and risk management strategies to ensure operational resilience.
Additionally, tax compliance and regulatory governance will also fall under the Finance Manager’s responsibilities, requiring an in-depth understanding of UAE tax legislation, VAT regulations and financial reporting obligations, alongside reinforcing adhering to evolving regulatory landscapes. To contribute to further operational excellence, the role will involve spearheading process enhancements and ERP system optimizations to elevate financial processes.
About you
To be considered for this role, the successful candidate will hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, alongside professional accountancy qualifications such as CPA, CMA, or ACCA. The ideal candidate will possess at least 10 years of experience in finance and accounting, coupled with prior managerial experience in the UAE. A deep understanding of UAE financial regulations, VAT compliance, and corporate tax laws is required, along with demonstrable expertise in financial planning, budgeting, cash flow management, and risk assessment.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills are essential for this role, along with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Our client is looking for candidates proficient in financial reporting tools, ERP systems, and accounting software to drive process improvements.
