Job Title: Store Guard
Job Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities:
1. Security & Theft Prevention:
Monitor store premises to prevent theft, vandalism, and unauthorized activities.
Conduct regular security checks and patrols inside and outside the store.
Identify suspicious behavior and take appropriate action.
2. Customer & Staff Safety:
Ensure the safety of customers, staff, and store property.
Assist in handling emergencies such as fire, accidents, or security threats.
Control access to restricted areas and prevent unauthorized entry.
3. Surveillance & Reporting:
Monitor CCTV cameras and alarm systems for unusual activities.
Report any security breaches, incidents, or suspicious behavior to management.
Maintain detailed records of security activities and incidents.
4. Conflict Resolution:
Handle disputes and de-escalate conflicts professionally.
Assist store staff in dealing with difficult customers when necessary.
Follow store policies for handling shoplifting or disturbances.
5. General Store Support:
Assist with opening and closing procedures.
Ensure all exits, emergency doors, and security systems are functioning properly.
Provide customer assistance when needed, such as directing shoppers.
Skills & Qualifications:
Prior experience in security or a similar role is a plus.
Strong observational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to remain calm and handle stressful situations professionally.
Knowledge of security procedures and emergency response.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Physical fitness and the ability to stand for long hours.
