Purpose of Job

• Provides detailed technical analysis and troubleshooting of operational and maintenance related chronic problems, repetitive and costly failures for rotating equipment and development, finding out optimum economical long-term solutions.
• Provides technical support to the field staff to maintain reliability and maximize availability of rotating equipment and spare parts review changes, update and specifications issues.
• Establishes Preventive Maintenance (PM) program, reviews PM, PDM and maintenance/repair feedback to identify problem areas.
• Provides cost effective solutions for breakdown maintenance.
• Prioritizes site work activities based upon equipment criticality and failure consequences.
• Reviews history entry in CMMMS with the objective to ensure its quality and effective utilisation of the available data.
• Participates actively in implementation of new projects, design change and in-house modification jobs from design stage up to commissioning.
• Participates in maintenance strategy review.
• Prepares scope of work for turbo machinery major overhaul, and preparation of equipment parts reconditioning scope of work.
• Participates in HSE related issues and evaluates systems and procedures from HSE perspective.
• Carries out Capital and Operating budget items related jobs.
• Participates in technical evaluation, tabulation and alignment of machinery un-priced tenders

Minimum Job Requirements

• B. Sc. In Mechanical Engineering
• 7 years experience as maintenance Mechanical Engineer in oil refinery, petrochemical, power plants or associated industry, of which 3 years in a senior position.
• Specialized experience in rotating equipment and basic necessary knowledge and experience of Mechanical Static equipment.
• Good knowledge of written and spoken English.
• Computer literate.
