Key Responsibilities:
1. Procurement & Purchasing (Planning & Strategy) :
o Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure the timely and cost-
effective procurement & purchasing of construction materials and equipment
o Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to identify procurement
needs based on project requirements.
o Purchasing of materials and services, ensuring alignment with project timelines
and specifications
2. Supplier Management:
o Research, identify, and evaluate potential suppliers/vendors for construction
materials, equipment, and services.
o Negotiate contracts, terms, and prices with suppliers, ensuring favorable terms for
the company.
o Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and service providers.
3. Tendering & Contract Management:
o Prepare and issue tender documents, request for proposals (RFPs), and quotations.
o Evaluate tenders and proposals received from vendors, ensuring compliance with
project specifications and company standards.
o Oversee the contract negotiation and finalization process, ensuring that all terms
are fair, transparent, and legally binding.
4. Purchase Orders & Inventory Management:
o Raise purchase orders and ensure they are processed accurately
o Purchase required materials in a timely manner
o Maintain an organized and up-to-date inventory of all materials, tools, and
equipment needed for ongoing projects.
o Ensure materials and equipment are available on-site when required, avoiding
delays or project interruptions.
5. Cost Control & Budgeting:
o Monitor and manage procurement costs to ensure they align with the project
budget.
o Continuously explore opportunities to reduce costs and improve procurement
processes without compromising quality.
o Report regularly on procurement expenditure and project cost performance to
senior management.
6. Compliance & Risk Management:
o Ensure all procurement activities comply with relevant construction regulations,
industry standards, and company policies.
o Maintain records of all procurement transactions, contracts, and supplier
agreements for auditing purposes.
o Identify and mitigate potential risks related to supply chain disruptions, cost
increases, and delays.
7. Logistics & Delivery Coordination:
o Coordinate the logistics and delivery of materials to construction sites, ensuring
that all deliveries are timely and meet project specifications.
o Resolve any delivery issues or discrepancies in a timely manner to avoid project
delays.
8. Documentation & Reporting:
o Keep accurate records of all procurement activities, including quotes, purchase
orders, invoices, and contracts.
o Prepare procurement reports and updates for management, highlighting
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration / Accounting
? Experience:
o 10 years of experience in procurement and purchasing, preferably within the
construction industry (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Civil).
o Experience with tendering, contract negotiation, and supplier relationship
management.

o Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
o Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word,
PowerPoint).
o Ability to analyze market trends and procurement data.
