POSITION SUMMARY:
To provides leadership role for staff in performance of functions involved in the safe, efficient distribution of medications, in accordance with relevant laws, rules, regulations and standards of pharmaceutical care.
QUALIFICATION:
Educational Requirements:
Must have:
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy And Two (2) years post graduate qualification leading to a PharmD or Doctor of Pharmacy or Masters in clinical pharmacy
- Current Registered Licensure in country of citizenship or professional practice.
Recommended:
- Knowledge of JCIA or accreditation standards.
- Knowledge of QI/CQI/PI philosophy.
Professional Experience/ Knowledge:
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience post qualification in related field in hospital setting and at least 2 years' recent experience in Inpatient Pharmacy
- Evidence of continuing education.
- Knowledge of actions, side effects, adverse effects, and appropriate use of commonly employed drugs
- Knowledge of current technology and pharmacy systems for distribution of medications
- Excellent (English & Arabic) verbal and written communication skills.
