Position Overview
CityDrinks is one of the UAE’s fastest-growing alcohol delivery platforms, operating with 2,500+ SKUs, multi-warehouse fulfilment, and tens of thousands of monthly orders.
The Senior Procurement & Supply Chain Specialist will oversee end-to-end procurement, replenishment planning, vendor negotiations, inbound logistics, and supply chain efficiency. This role ensures our customers always find the largest selection at the best prices—while maintaining strict compliance with UAE alcohol regulations and optimizing stock across our warehouses.
Key Responsibilities
1. Procurement & Supplier Relations
Manage relationships with all beverage suppliers (local distributors, international wineries, breweries, and brand owners).
Negotiate pricing, discounts, payment terms, and promotions to support CityDrinks’ competitive pricing strategy.
Secure exclusive or first-to-market items when possible to strengthen assortment leadership.
Coordinate purchase orders, consignment agreements, and inbound shipment schedules (air/sea/road).
Ensure all alcohol imports comply with DCT, Customs, and KEZAD guidelines.
2. Inventory Planning & SKU Optimization
Oversee 2,500+ SKUs across multiple categories (beer, wine, spirits, RTDs, luxury items).
Forecast demand based on daily order trends, seasonal peaks (payday, holidays, events), and marketing campaigns.
Maintain optimal stock levels at the main warehouse and satellite dark-stores to reduce stock-outs and late deliveries.
Implement category management to prioritize high-velocity and high-margin SKUs.
Monitor shelf life, expiry risks, slow-moving items, and recommend liquidation strategies.
Ensure SKU master data accuracy: carton size, unit breakdown, ABV, country, licensing category.
3. Supply Chain & Logistics Execution
Coordinate inbound stock receiving with warehouse teams, ensuring accurate quantities, QC checks, and proper barcode labeling.
Align replenishment with courier capacity (bikes & vans) and CityDrinks’ time-slot model (VIP Express 60 min, same-day, free delivery window).
Work closely with operations to maintain stock availability for peak hours.
Optimize storage layout to reduce picking time and improve order fulfilment speed.
Liaise with logistics partners and customs brokers for smooth import operations.
4. Cost Control & Margin Improvement
Track landed cost, duties, and transport fees.
Identify opportunities for cost-saving through improved purchasing, optimized MOQ, or better freight consolidation.
Work with Finance to plan procurement cycles aligned with cash flow and inventory turnover goals.
Support pricing strategy by providing accurate cost structures and margin analysis.
5. Compliance & Documentation
Ensure all procurement and stock movement complies with DCT alcohol regulations, import permits, and warehouse licensing rules.
Maintain complete documentation for all imports, declarations, and supplier transactions.
Collaborate with the Compliance Manager on audits, inspections, and regulatory requests.
6. Cross-Department Collaboration
Coordinate with Marketing for product launches, campaigns, and bundle creation (e.g., payday promos, events).
Work with Tech/IT to improve ERP/WMS integrations, automated reordering, and product listing accuracy.
Support Customer Service when supply-chain-related issues arise (stock-outs, delays, replacements).
Provide insights to Leadership on emerging trends, new categories, and supplier opportunities.
