Job Title: Store Keeper
Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and organized Store Keeper / Logistics Officer to manage the company’s inventory, warehouse operations, and logistics activities. The ideal candidate will ensure proper stock control, timely dispatch of goods, accurate record-keeping, and smooth supply chain coordination.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory & Stock Management
Receive, inspect, and record all incoming materials and equipment.
Maintain accurate inventory records in the system or stock cards.
Conduct regular stock counts and report shortages or discrepancies.
Ensure proper labeling, arrangement, and safe storage of all items.
Warehouse Operations
Organize the storage area for easy access and safety.
Monitor stock levels and request replenishment when needed.
Ensure cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse at all times.
Follow proper procedures for issuing and receiving goods.
Logistics Coordination
Arrange transportation for goods delivery or collection.
Coordinate with suppliers, drivers, and other departments to ensure timely movement of materials.
Track shipments and update relevant departments on delivery schedules.
Documentation & Reporting
Prepare goods received notes, delivery notes, and transfer forms.
Update daily stock movement reports and submit to management.
Maintain accurate and complete documentation for audit purposes.
Quality & Compliance
Inspect goods for damage, quantity accuracy, and compliance with specifications.
Report damaged or missing items immediately.
Follow safety guidelines and ensure proper handling of equipment.
Coordination & Support
Work closely with procurement, finance, and operations teams.
Provide support during inventory audits.
Assist in improving warehouse and logistics procedures.
Qualifications
High school diploma or diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
Proven experience as a Store Keeper, Logistics Assistant, or Warehouse Clerk.
Strong understanding of inventory management and stock control.
Proficiency in MS Excel and inventory systems.
Good communication and organizational skills.
Ability to lift moderate weights and work in a warehouse environment.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Preferred Skills
Knowledge of ERP or warehouse management software.
Forklift certification (optional depending on company).
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Work Environment
Warehouse or store setting with regular coordination across multiple departments.
Physical activity required, including lifting and moving items.
