Job Summary
We are looking for a High School Head(American Curriculum) for one of our prestigious and international client (School) in Al Ain, UAE The ideal candidate must have proven UAE experience, in-depth knowledge of the American curriculum, and the ability to lead teaching staff while ensuring compliance with ADEK regulations. This role requires strategic leadership, high academic standards, and effective engagement with staff, students, parents, and school leadership.
Key ResponsibilitiesAcademic LeadershipLead and oversee the implementation of the American Curriculum (Common Core, NGSS, AERO as applicable)
Ensure high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment practices across all high school grades
Monitor curriculum planning, lesson delivery, and student academic progress
Promote academic excellence and student readiness for college and university pathways
School Operations & ManagementManage the day-to-day operations of the high school division
Ensure full compliance with ADEK policies, inspections, and reporting requirements
Develop and implement academic calendars, timetables, and assessment schedules
Contribute to school improvement plans and strategic initiatives
Staff Leadership & DevelopmentLead, mentor, and evaluate high school teaching and academic staff
Conduct classroom observations and performance reviews
Support professional development and continuous instructional improvement
Foster a collaborative, professional, and high-performing school culture
Student Welfare & DisciplinePromote a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
Oversee student behaviour management, attendance, and wellbeing
Address disciplinary matters in line with school policies and UAE regulations
Support guidance, counseling, and student leadership programs
Parent & Community EngagementBuild strong relationships with parents and guardians
Lead parent meetings, academic conferences, and school events
Act as the primary point of contact for high school academic matters
Represent the school professionally within the local and wider community
Reporting & Strategic ContributionPrepare academic and operational reports for senior leadership
Analyze student performance data to drive continuous improvement
Support school accreditation processes and ADEK inspections
RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Education or relevant subject
Master’s degree in Educational Leadership / Education (strongly preferred)
Minimum 5–8 years of UAE experience in an American curriculum school
Proven experience in a senior leadership role (High School Head, Vice Principal, Academic Coordinator, or similar)
Strong knowledge of ADEK standards and UAE education regulations
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Fluency in English (Arabic is an advantage)
