Job Summary

The Public Relations Officer (PRO) is responsible for managing all government-related processes and ensuring full compliance with UAE laws and regulations. The role acts as the main liaison between the company and government authorities, handling visas, labour matters, trade licenses, and official documentation to support smooth business operations.


Key Responsibilities

The PRO will manage all visa-related activities including employment visas, visit visas, family visas, renewals, cancellations, and status changes for employees and management. The role is responsible for processing labour cards, MOHRE approvals, Emirates ID, medical fitness, and biometric registrations.


The PRO will handle trade license renewals, amendments, and updates including name changes, activity changes, ownership amendments, and branch registrations across relevant authorities such as DED, Free Zones, and Municipalities.


The role will act as the primary point of contact with government entities including MOHRE, GDRFA, ICA, Immigration, Free Zones, Police, Courts, and Embassies as required.


The PRO will prepare, submit, and follow up on official applications, forms, letters, NOCs, powers of attorney, and other statutory documents. They will also collect, verify, and maintain all government receipts, approvals, and official records.


Ensuring compliance with UAE labour law, immigration regulations, and company policies is a core responsibility. The PRO will proactively track expiry dates for visas, labour cards, Emirates IDs, trade licenses, and other statutory documents and ensure timely renewals.


The role will coordinate closely with HR, Finance, Operations, and external PROs or typing centers to ensure accurate and timely processing of all government-related tasks. Support during audits, inspections, and government inquiries is also part of the role.


Required Skills & Competencies

Strong working knowledge of UAE labour law, visa processes, and government procedures is essential. The role requires excellent coordination and follow-up skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple applications simultaneously.


Good communication skills in English are required; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage. The candidate should be well-organized, reliable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.


Qualifications & Experience

Minimum 3–5 years of proven experience as a PRO or Government Relations Officer in the UAE. Prior experience handling multiple entities or group companies is preferred. A valid UAE driving license is an added advantage.


Reporting Line

Reports to HR Manager / Head of HR / Administration Manager (as applicable).
