Overview Of The Role:
The Accounts Executive plays a vital role in the finance department by supporting the accounting team to ensure smooth business operations. Responsible for monitoring and maintaining accurate accounting figures and financial reports, the role demands vigilant scrutiny of the General Ledger and the management of accounts payable. The Accounts Executive also ensures adherence to internal controls and financial policies, collaborates with various teams and external vendors, and supports compliance efforts particularly in tax-related accounting. Success in this role is measured by the precision in financial data management and timely delivery of reports, contributing to the overall financial health and transparency of the company.
What You Will Do:
- Monitor and maintain the General Ledger (G/L) and sub ledger to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare and scrutinize G/L schedules for review by the line manager.
- Reconcile various GL accounts and prepare action-triggering schedules for monthly reporting.
- Generate detailed MIS reports for departmental review, ensuring compliance with group accounting policies.
- Handle petty cash for the Regional Service Office (RSO), ensuring accurate reconciliation and compliance with company procedures.
- Coordinate with the Shared Service AP team to reconcile inventory and accounts payable control GL accounts.
- Analyze travel expenses and maintain monthly schedules.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and company financial policies.
- Create and circulate Local Purchase Orders (LPOs) for department heads and manage invoice verification.
- Work on clearing accounts including cash, credit card, forex, and others on a monthly basis.
- Generate inter-company reports, follow up on pending invoices, and coordinate with retail finance on ICMs.
- Provide timely and accurate finance-related information to all departments, serving as an information hub.
- Coordinate with vendors for proper invoice submission to recover VAT.

What Qualifies You For The Role:
- Bachelor's degree in finance.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Accounts Executive or Accounts Assistant.
- Experience in tax accounting is advantageous.
- Proficient in Excel, MS Office, and SAP or similar ERP systems; knowledge of tax filing processes preferred.
