This role leads the end-to-end marketing and commercial strategy for both generic and specialty pharmaceutical portfolios across the Middle East region. Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, the Marketing Director will drive portfolio performance, new product launches, forecasting, and cross-functional alignment to achieve sustainable growth.

Lead and execute regional marketing strategies aligned with overall commercial objectivesOwn portfolio planning, lifecycle management, forecasting, and five-year strategic plansDrive brand strategy, commercial excellence, digital and multichannel marketing initiativesOversee new product development, launch readiness, and go-to-market executionPartner closely with Sales, Supply Chain, R&D, and Portfolio teams to maximize market penetration and ensure supply continuityManage and optimize marketing budgets, financial planning, and expenditure controlLead, mentor, and develop multiple marketing teams across portfolios and functionsEnsure full compliance with regulatory, quality, and internal governance standardsSupport sales force effectiveness initiatives and capability-building programs
Profile
A successful Marketing Director should have:
Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred)15-20 years of pharmaceutical industry experience, with at least 10 years in senior leadership rolesProven experience managing both generics (e.g. CVD, Diabetes, Respiratory) and specialty portfolios (e.g. Oncology, Ophthalmology, Biologics/Biosimilars)Strong regional exposure across MEA / MENA, managing multi-country operationsDemonstrated ownership of large, complex portfolios and sizeable marketing budgetsSolid understanding of sales force effectiveness, with digital marketing exposure as a plusBackground from leading multinational or regional pharma companies highly preferredOpen to relocation to Ras Al Khaimah, or currently managing the region from abroad
