We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as the Director of Financial Institution Origination. In this role, you will be responsible for originating and structuring complex financial transactions, leveraging your expertise in derivatives and structured financing. Your primary focus will be on client engagement and relationship building, ensuring MashreqBank's position as a trusted partner in the financial industry.
Responsibilities:

  • Lead the origination and structuring of derivative and structured financing transactions, ensuring alignment with client needs and market trends.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their financial objectives and providing tailored solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including risk management, legal, and operations, to ensure seamless transaction execution.
  • Stay updated on market developments, regulatory changes, and industry trends to identify new business opportunities.
  • Conduct thorough due diligence and credit analysis on potential clients and transactions, assessing risk and return profiles.
  • Develop and present compelling proposals and investment strategies to clients, highlighting the benefits and value of MashreqBank's offerings.
  • Negotiate and finalize transaction terms, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Monitor and manage the performance of originated transactions, providing ongoing support and guidance to clients.
  • Contribute to the development of innovative financial products and solutions, driving MashreqBank's market leadership.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.

Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field, with a preference for advanced qualifications (MBA or equivalent).
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in financial institution origination, with a proven track record in derivative and structured financing transactions.
  • Demonstrated success in client engagement and relationship management, with a strong network of industry connections.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial markets, products, and regulatory frameworks, particularly in the Middle East region.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to structure complex financial transactions.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build consensus across teams.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools, with a solid understanding of risk management principles.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks effectively.
  • A self-starter with a proactive approach, demonstrating a high level of initiative and a results-driven mindset.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory, with proficiency in Arabic being an added advantage.
