We are seeking a dynamic, passionate and highly motivated Head of School, Primary to join our Executive Leadership Team from September 2026. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of driving high standards and a deep commitment to excellence for every child. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious leader who is passionate about children’s learning and keen to make a meaningful impact while driving the Royal Standard.
The role
Working closely with the Principal/CEO and Vice Principal, the Head of School, Primary will lead the Primary Phase, building on the strong foundations and successes already in place. The role includes a teaching commitment, allowing the successful candidate to lead by example and model outstanding practice.

Key responsibilities
The successful candidate will provide strategic oversight of academic outcomes and student personal development across the Primary Phase through effective leadership of middle leaders and a relentless focus on excellence.
They will build and sustain strong partnerships with parents, actively championing the school’s Parents as Partners vision.
The role requires outstanding subject knowledge across all areas of the Primary curriculum and the strategic use of student performance data to maximise progress and personalise learning pathways.
The Head of School will monitor and model high quality teaching and learning, working collaboratively with staff to share best practice and drive innovation informed by educational research.
Safeguarding and student wellbeing will be central to the role, with a strong emphasis on personal, social and emotional development.
The post holder will play a key role in self evaluation and school development planning, using a range of evidence to evaluate impact and drive measurable improvement.
They will demonstrate a high performance mindset, remaining reflective, resilient and solution focused, and will work effectively with colleagues, students and parents, showing excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
The role includes contributing actively to the wider life of the school through extra curricular provision and community events, and deputising for the Principal and or Vice Principal when required.
