About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer to join our dynamic technology team in Dubai. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable Java applications using Spring Boot and microservices architecture, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and mentor junior developers to drive technical excellence and deliver high-quality solutions.
Responsibilities:
Architect, design, and implement Java applications using Spring Boot
Develop and maintain microservices to support scalable, high-availability systems
Collaborate with product owners, architects, QA, and operations teams to define requirements and deliver solutions
Perform code reviews, enforce coding standards, and mentor junior developers
Optimize application performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement best practices
Participate in Agile ceremonies, contribute to sprint planning, and ensure timely delivery of features
Skills
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of professional experience in Java development
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Strong proficiency in Java SE/EE and object-oriented design principles
Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and Spring Framework
Proven experience designing and implementing microservices architectures
Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, messaging frameworks, and integration patterns
Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and build tools (Maven/Gradle)
Excellent problem-solving skills and strong communication abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI)
Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra)
Oracle Certified Java Programmer or equivalent certification
Exposure to event-driven architectures and messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
Prior experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
Master’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline
