About the teamThe UAE Food commercial team is at the core of Careem's growth engine, driving strategic partnerships and delivering an outstanding experience for our customers. As a regional leader in food delivery, our team works closely with restaurant partners, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional squads to expand our market presence while ensuring excellence in execution.
About the role We are looking for a Team Lead - Account Management to drive strong commercial performance and build impactful partnerships with our restaurant partners in Dubai. This role requires exceptional leadership, analytical, and relationship management skills. You will lead a team of account managers, set commercial strategies, and ensure long-term success for both Careem and our restaurant partners.
What you'll do
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Account Managers, driving high performance and motivation.
- Own and grow key strategic partnerships across Dubai Food vertical, ensuring win-win outcomes.
- Analyze commercial data to identify growth opportunities and performance gaps.
- Set targets and KPIs for the team; monitor, report, and optimize against them.
- Collaborate with marketing, operations, and product teams to deliver best-in-class partner experiences.
- Support negotiation of commercial terms and drive execution of initiatives to improve partner satisfaction.
- Represent Careem in key meetings with high-value restaurant groups and stakeholders.
What you'll need
- 6+ years of experience in account management, partnerships, or sales, ideally within the tech, e-commerce, or food delivery sectors.
- 2+ years of team leadership experience with a strong track record of developing high-performing teams.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage cross-functional stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English; Arabic is a plus.
