Job Summary:
Our client is solution delivering and supporting high-tech solutions for defense & aerospace, focused on advanced optronics and navigation across the UAE region. The company operates rigorous, state-of-the-art production facilities dedicated to excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake the assembly, integration, and sub-assembly of new optoelectronic and electromechanical equipment in compliance with clean room protocols and precise manufacturing instructions.
- Conduct technical diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair interventions on products requiring maintenance, ensuring full traceability and thorough documentation for all actions performed.
- Operate, configure, and maintain automated systems used in both production and servicing environments, supporting manufacturing, inspection, and repair of equipment.
- Perform product validation tests, function controls, and quality audits following assembly or maintenance activities to confirm compliance with technical requirements before release or delivery to clients.
- Analyze anomalies or deviations detected during assembly, testing, or maintenance, and contribute to root-cause identification and corrective actions.
- Carry out preventive maintenance on systems, tools, and equipment that support both manufacturing and after-sales service operations.
- Draft and maintain detailed technical reports and intervention records for assembly and maintenance tasks, and actively participate in process improvement initiatives for both production and servicing activities.
- Support the development, update, and implementation of work instructions, training materials, and new procedures relevant to clean room operations.
- Ensure full compliance with quality, safety, and military industry standards particular to the UAE
Requirements:
- Engineer or minimum Technician-level diploma/degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field. IPC certification preferred.
- Proven industrial experience (minimum 5 years) in clean room environments, ideally within the optics, defense, aerospace, or high-precision electronics sectors.
- Hands-on expertise in handling, diagnosing, and repairing optronic, electrical, and mechatronic components in clean room conditions.
- Mastery of reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, bill of materials, and industrial work instructions.
- Experience with test benches, diagnostic software, and a range of manufacturing or inspection tools.
- Advanced command of written and spoken English.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement (LEAN, 5S, Root Cause Analysis) methodologies is strongly valued.
- Eligible for work in the UAE, including for roles within the defense or military supply chain (security clearance will be required).
- Comfortable with occasional international travel and collaboration within multinational teams.
