The project:


Mace is providing project management services on a large mixed-use regeneration development in Abu Dhabi. The site will have commercial work places and retail units along with public realm.


You’ll be responsible for:


  • Leads feasibility studies, procurement strategy advice, contract selection, and preparation of detailed procurement reports.


  • Oversees estimating and cost planning activities, taking ownership of and presenting final cost plans using value management techniques.


  • Manages the full procurement cycle including prequalification, enquiry, analysis, selection, and contract preparation.


  • Supervises preparation and execution of contract documents, warranties, bonds, licences, and provides advice on contract administration.


  • Ensures effective cost control, valuation of works, monthly post‑contract reporting, and identification of costs related to design changes and construction activities.


  • Evaluates contractor claims for delays and additional costs, and advises on certificates for making good defects, practical completion, and final account agreement.


  • Leads and develops a team of Cost Consultants, providing coaching, mentoring, performance management, and driving improvements in systems and processes.


  • Manages senior stakeholders, builds strong internal/external relationships, implements continuous improvement initiatives, and supports net‑zero carbon transition goals.


You’ll need to have:


  • Degree in quantity surveying/cost management (or equivalent). 


  • Professional membership i.e. MRICS/RICS (or equivalent) and moving towards fellowship, or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.  


  • Commercial and financial acumen.  


  • Knowledge of value engineering, life cycle costing, contract law and contractual frameworks relating to construction. 


  • Experience of managing parts of projects within large, diverse teams.  


  • Experience of managing relationships with key senior stakeholders.
