MAIN OBJECTIVE OF ROLETo lead the strategic and operational direction of flydubai’s Safety Program, encompassing both Operational Safety and Occupational Health & Safety (OHS).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Designs and implements a comprehensive strategy for the uniform application of flydubai’s Safety Program across the organization, integrating both Operational Safety and Occupational Health & Safety principles.
- Enhances Safety performance with all applicable regulatory standards, providing feedback and insights to the SVP Compliance, Safety, and Sustainability.
- Directs safety awareness campaigns to embed and enhance understanding of flydubai’s Safety Culture at all levels of the organization.
- Represents flydubai in engagements with national and international authorities and stakeholders such as GCAA, EASA, IATA, and Boeing to ensure full compliance and alignment with industry standards.
- Enforces adherence to flydubai’s SMS, ensuring alignment with aviation safety regulations, while promoting awareness and understanding.
- Develops and nurtures strategic alliances with external stakeholders to support flydubai’s operational safety interests.
- Leads development of policies, strategies, and frameworks to ensure the effective implementation and continuous improvement of Occupational Health & Safety initiatives across the organization.
- Acts as the lead representative in national and international investigations conducted under ICAO Annex 13 into incidents and accidents involving flydubai aircraft.
- Improves and upholds occupational safety standards and practices across operational and non-operational environments.
- Leads flydubai’s strategy and adherence to National and International regulatory standards in the areas of Psychoactive Substance Management and Communicable Disease Management.
- Provides consultation and support to all business units in the areas of risk management, assurance & and incident response.
- Monitors and communicates evolving safety trends, industry developments to keep flydubai leadership informed and responsive.
QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor's Degree (3+ years)
- Bachelor Degree in related area of studies
- Fluent in English
- Management Experience in relevant Aviation Domain In-depth knowledge of aviation safety regulations and standards (ICAO, IATA, GCAA, EASA)
- Years with qualifications: 12 - 14 years
- Leadership and Management Training GCAA Post Holder Training
- Holds or have held a recognized Air Transport Pilot License (ATPL) or Aircraft Maintenance Engineer License (AMEL)

ISR REQUIREMENTSReads and complies with the ISR policies of the Company and diligently reports any weakness or incidents to the respective Line Manager or the Information Security team. Completes all required ISR awareness sessions and follows associated guidelines in the day-to-day business operations.
