Job Summary
The Buyer is responsible for the indirect sourcing of materials from the best cost supplier & manage inbound logistics of direct materials. Buyer is accountable for ensuring that all indirect materials are procured and delivered to the factory in line with the operational requirement. The buyer works to achieve cost savings, improve inbound logistics process, and enhance service levels.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Procurement Execution
- Manage end to end procurement for indirect categories such as MRO, IT equipment, office supplies, tooling, services, consumables, and facility-related items.
- Source suppliers, obtain quotations, perform cost analysis, and negotiate terms.
- Raise Purchase Requisitions (PR) / Purchase Orders (PO) in ERP and ensure PO accuracy.
Supplier Management
- Evaluate and develop new suppliers; maintain approved supplier lists.
- Conduct vendor performance reviews on pricing, delivery, and service quality.
- Resolve supplier issues related to delivery, pricing, or service gaps.
Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure purchases adhere to company procurement policies.
- Manage contracts, service agreements, and renewals for indirect categories.
- Support internal audits and maintain documentation for compliance.
Cost Optimization
- Identify cost saving opportunities and alternative suppliers.
- Drive annual savings targets and procurement efficiency improvements.
B. Inward Logistics Responsibilities
- Shipment Coordination
- Coordinate with suppliers on shipment readiness, packaging, and documentation.
- Validate pre-shipment documents (AWB, HS Code, MSDS, Certificates etc).
- Align shipping mode (air/sea/road/courier) based on priority and cost.
- Freight & Transport Management
- Arrange freight bookings with forwarders and track all inbound shipments.
- Manage transit status, delays, and shipment deviations proactively.
Customs & Compliance
- Ensure compliant import documentation for UAE customs or free zone regulations.
- Coordinate with clearing agents for customs clearance and timely delivery.
- Maintain logs for duties, VAT, regulatory documents, and HS code accuracy.
Receiving & GRN Coordination
- Schedule incoming deliveries with warehouse and QC teams.
- Ensure accurate receiving, inspection, and GRN posting in ERP.
- Raise claims for shortages, damages, or incorrect deliveries.

For This Role, You Will Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management.
Preferred qualifications that set you apart
- Strong understanding of Inbound logistics and procurement guidelines.
- Knowledge in procurement process and handling shipments.
- Proficiency in international trade regulations and customs procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Oracle ERP systems.
- Experience in generating performance reports and facilitating conference calls
