What You Will Do
As a Technology Strategy Applications Engineer, you will play a key role in solving challenges for data center designers served by Johnson Controls and enhancing brand awareness in the Data Center Vertical for our products. Reporting directly to the Director of Business Development and Technology Strategy for Thermal Management, you will work closely with the Global Data Center Technical Selling team to create solutions for efficient production of facility water for heat rejection from mission critical facilities.
Your primary focus will be
- Identifying challenges, constraints, and goals of data center designers, and developing tailored solutions for customers.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver solutions that meet the needs of data center projects.
- Conducting market research to stay ahead of industry trends and technologies.
- Developing white papers and presentations to communicate our technology solutions effectively.
- Participating in client meetings and providing technical support to the sales team.
What we look for:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in technology strategy, applications engineering or a similar role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proven experience working with data center technologies and solutions.
- Ability to travel as required.
