Job Purpose The Accounts and Insurance Executive – Accountant will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting activities, financial reporting, and insurance-related processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities Accounting & Finance
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Ensure accurate recording of all financial transactions and maintain proper documentation.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Support internal and external audits and ensure timely closure of audit queries.
- Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations, including VAT filings and reconciliations.
- Insurance Management
- Manage all insurance policies including medical, motor, property, and other corporate insurance coverage.
- Coordinate with insurance providers and brokers for policy renewals, endorsements, and claims processing.
- Maintain accurate insurance records and ensure timely renewals to avoid coverage gaps.
- Handle insurance claims, follow up with insurers, and ensure timely settlement.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in accounting, preferably within the UAE.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and VAT regulations.
- Hands-on experience in managing corporate insurance policies and claims is mandatory.
Preferred Attributes
- Experience in real estate, construction, or corporate environments is an advantage.
- Professional accounting certification (ACCA, CPA, CMA) is a plus.
