Synopsis
To manage the effective delivery and continuous improvement of AVSEC training by monitoring regulatory and operational changes, ensuring training programs remain compliant, relevant, and aligned with Etihad Aviation Security Program and applicable regulations.
Accountabilities
- Monitor operational and regulatory changes to ensure all AVSEC training packages are reviewed, updated, and aligned with current requirements.
- Review and validate the security training programs of Etihad‑contracted service providers to ensure alignment with Etihad Standards and applicable regulations.
- To keep track AVSEC training compliance and other key performance indicators, preparing monthly performance reports for the Manager AVSEC Training.
- Conduct internal quality checks on Security Management System (SeMS) entries, certificate issuance, and training reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with established processes.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure training requirements are met and aligned with organisational goals and regulatory expectations.
- Support the scheduling, planning, and delivery of training programs to ensure smooth operational execution.
- Identify opportunities to enhance training policies, procedures, content, delivery methods, and administrative processes, and provide recommendations that improve overall operational efficiency and training effectiveness.
- Facilitate internal and external audit requirements by preparing and maintaining relevant documentation.
- Represent AVSEC Training in Aviation Security Action Group and other meetings, providing updates and input on AVSEC training matters.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager AVSEC Training.
Education & Experience
- Minimum experience 5 years in civil aviation, preferably in aviation security or training.
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in aviation, Security Management, Training, or related field.
- Must be UAE GCAA certified AVSEC Instructor, or equivalent certification from ICAO / IATA or other states.
- Experience in aviation security training or regulatory compliance is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of GCAA, ICAO, and IOSA training requirements.
- Proficiency in SeMS, training documentation, and audit processes.
